What Personal Information Do We Collect?

We collect your personal information when you book an appointment online or over the phone and when you email us or send us a message via a contact form on our website. This information will include your name, address, phone number and email address. We need this information to be able to book an appointment to visit your property and undertake an EPC and/or Floorplan appointment.

During the appointment we will collect information about your property as required to complete an EPC and/or Floorplan, including but not limited to the dimensions, construction, heating and hot water provision of the property.

Paying Online
We do NOT capture any credit or debit card numbers on this website. When paying for an appointment on this website we use a payment gateway called ‘Stripe’ to process your payment. Stripes payment processing tool appears on our ‘Book Online’ page where your card details are entered directly into their secure server. They encrypt your credit or debit card information and authorise payment directly. This means that your credit card or debit card details are never revealed to us.

Please read Stripe’s privacy policy to see what security measures they have in place and how they treat your personal information.

How Do We Use The Personal Information That We Collect?

EPCs
We enter the information that you provide when booking an appointment and the information that we collect during the appointment into a software programme known as RdSAP (Reduced Data Standard Assessment Procedure). The software will generate an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) that we will then lodge on the EPC Register via our membership with Stroma, an approved accreditation body.

We do NOT share your personal information or the information collected regarding your property, with anyone other than as mentioned above, or unless we are requested to do so in writing by you.

An Energy Performance Certificate lasts for 10 years so when the certificate is due to expire, we will contact you via phone, post or email to arrange another appointment to produce a new certificate, should you still require one.

Floor Plans
We sketch a Floorplan while in your property and capture dimensions of the property and note featururs of the property suxh as Bath, Shower, Hob. We use Floorplan drawing software to re-create the Floorplan in a professional template.

COOKIE POLICY

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that typically contain at least two pieces of information; a website name and a unique user ID. Cookies are beneficial to the website user, they make the interaction with frequently visited websites smoother.

When you visit a site for the first time, a cookie is downloaded onto your computer. The next time you visit the same website, your computer checks to see if it has a cookie that contains the site name and if it does it sends the information contained in the cookie back to the website.

This means a website can identify you as a previous visitor and can tailor what you see on the site. This does NOT mean the website can identify you as a person, the cookie does not know who you are, just that you have been on that particular website before and what you looked at on that site.

For example if you have been looking at products on an eCommerce website and added a product to a shopping basket, but left the site before purchasing, when you re-visit the site it may remember which products you were looking at and what was in your basket.

Some cookies can record how long you spend on each page on a website and what links you click on. This helps the website owner understand how their site is working for their visitors and how to develop the site further. For example if there is content on a website that no one is interested in, then they may remove that content. Likewise they may add more of the type of content that gets a lot of attention.

Which Cookies Do We Use?

We use two types of cookies:

WooCommerce Cookies
We use software called WooCommerce to provide our appointment diary. WooCommerce makes use of cookies to manage the booking system / diary / availability.

Google Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies to track which page a website visitor initially lands on to the website, which pages they then click on to, how long they stay on each page, what links they click and where the visitor came from, e.g. if they clicked on an advert in Google, or from a Facebook page, or a link from another website etc. Google Analytics does not store any personal information about the website user within these cookies.

How Do You Manage Cookies?
