TIME SLOTS
We book two Time Slots for apointments; 9am to 11am and 11am to 1pm. Assessments usually take around 20 – 30 mins in the property for a 1/2 bed property, longer if the property is larger. As every property is different we can’t book exact arrival times. We try to carry out assessments in the morning and then process the EPCs and Floorplans in the afternoon so you should receive them the same day. If our time slots don’t suit you, please call and we will fit you in at a time that does.
APPOINTMENT DETAILS
On average an EPC or Floorplan asssessment takes around 20 to 30 minutes for a 1 / 2 bedroom house or flat. The size of your property will determine the time your assessment takes. Your assessor will need easy access to every room in the property including any roof / loft space, in order to measure the dimensions of the property and take note of the factors in the property that impact energy use, e.g. the pressence and type of heating, lighting, windows, insulation etc. For more details about how a property is assessed for an EPC and why, visit our What Does An EPC Assessment Involve? page.
It is a legal requirement to have an EPC in place before a property goes to market, for sale or let.
This means before a property is publicly advertised for sale or let, whether privately or through an agent, online or on the high st. Failure to have a current EPC in place can result in prosecution and fines.
You can check if your property already has a valid EPC on the national EPC Register.
