ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES EPCs
We are frequently asked questions about Energy Performance Certificates, by customers that already have one, customers that need one, property owners, landlords and tenants alike. Whilst EPCs have been a legal requirement for over a decade there is still a lot of people that don’t unstandand what they are for and how useful they can be. Customers often tell us that the process of arranging an EPC is seen as just ‘something you have to do’ or a ‘box you have to tick’ when selling or letting a property.
In fact energy assessments are an essential tool in the process of improving the energy efficiency of a property which in turn benefits the home owner, landlord and/or tenant in a number of ways. We have created a series of posts, listed below, that respond to the most common questions we are asked. We also have an FAQs page with more questions and answers. Hopefully they will help you to understand exactly what an EPC is, what it is for, why it is so useful and how you can use it to benefit your home, your pocket and the environment.
